Dursley Abuse Fic

Hi, All,

I've been trying to find a fanfiction, and it has been driving me crazy. I'm fairly certain it is a pretty well known one, but I haven't been able to locate it.

Points:

1. It's a Dursley!Abuse story--I specifically remember a conversation between Dumbledore and Snape in Dumbledore's office, where Dumbledore is ladling out memories from the sympathetic magic of Privet Drive (Dobby's magic helps in this). Snape tells him to look for "struck" instead of beaten.
2. It's Mentor!Snape, I think, and definitely Good!Dumbledore.
3. I think McGonagall gets angry at Dumbledore--maybe hexes him?
4. I suspect it's a long-ish fic, but I'm not absolutely certain. I also don't remember what site it was on.

I hope you guys can help me out.

Title: Encompassed by Evil
Author: the_aleator
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Watson, mentions of Holmes
Verse: ACD/Granada
Word count: 522
A/N: Amnesty #3 - Words to live by prompt. I read Connie Willis' 'Doomsday Book' a few weeks ago, and the quote she uses from Brother John Clyn was incredibly striking so I thought I would use a phrase from that. "So that notable deeds should not perish with time, and be lost from the memory of future generations, I, seeing these many ills, and that the whole world encompassed by evil, waiting among the dead for death to come, have committed to writing what I have truly heard and examined; and so that the writing does not perish with the writer, or the work fail with the workman, I leave parchment for continuing the work, in case anyone should still be alive in the future and any son of Adam can escape this pestilence and continue the work thus begun."  I used the quote 'waiting among the dead for death to come" in this piece, and drew the title from it as well.
Warnings:  Note - unbetaed and unedited & completely rushed. Dark-fic (really, don't look up Victorian baby farms right before you got to bed)
Summary: Watson is surrounded by the dead, and it is with the innocent that he waits for the Reaper.
